TEST YOUR CENTRIFUGE CONFIGURATION

Performance should never be left up to chance. For a fraction of the cost of a full scale equipment purchase, Diamond T Services offers a pilot program that ensures your centrifuge solution works for your application.

PILOT PROGRAM OPTIONS

We offer three different levels of testing services depending on your needs.

Benchtop/Lab Testing

A separation (spin) test in a lab setting to identify the material you need to process.

Small-Scale Pilot

Proof of concept testing with your materials at a Diamond T Services facility.

Large-Scale Pilot

Full on-site testing with ready-made separation equipment for your application.

How the Pilot Program WORKS

Test a centrifuge before making a purchase or validate a proof of concept by getting an Alfa Laval Centrifuge Pilot from Diamond T Services.

Consultation & Assessment

Our experts work with you to understand your material process needs and goals. Whether optimizing an existing operation or planning a new project, we identify how a decanter centrifuge can improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.

Customized Pilot Setup

We deliver the optimum Alfa Laval decanter centrifuge package for your application, complete with expert setup, installation guidance, and ongoing operational support. We tailor the configuration to your specific requirements and provide hands-on training to ensure optimal performance.

On-Site or Off-Site Testing

Testing can be conducted at your facility for real-world insights or at our dedicated locations for controlled conditions. Our team oversees the process, ensuring smooth execution and accurate performance evaluation.

Data Collection & Analysis

Gather real-time data on separation efficiency, throughput, and overall system performance. Analyze key metrics to evaluate effectiveness, suggest optimizations, and benchmark competing technologies against centrifuge performance.

Review & Decision

We review the test results with you, discuss key findings, and provide expert recommendations. Whether purchasing, renting, or refining process parameters, we help you find the best solution for your operation.

Your Pilot Program Checklist

When you have your pilot centrifuge from Diamond T in hand, it’s important to perform the following tests and inspections to know that your centrifuge works for your application. We’re here to help before, during and after the entire process, but this checklist will help you understand how to make an informed purchase decision.

Benefits of a Pilot Centrifuge

Testing at your facility in real-world conditions will help you validate your results, select the right equipment, and confirm and optimize your separation process – reducing overall risk.
Real-world testing will help you understand how other technologies – such as a belt press or plate press – compare to Alfa Laval centrifuges. This gives you the information you need to build financial models and calculate ROI.
On-site testing allows your team to familiarize themselves with the centrifuge in a real-world setting. This ensures smooth implementation and maximized efficiency from day one.

Pilot Program FAQs

Each pilot includes customized testing based on your material and process needs. This may involve:

  • Benchtop analysis (particle size distribution, chemical composition)
  • On-site pilot testing (centrate clarity, solids dryness, recovery rates)
  • KPI tracking (water recovery, throughput, efficiency, power usage)

Timelines depend on complexity. Benchtop tests take a few days, small-scale pilots may last one to two weeks, and large-scale on-site pilots often extend for several weeks or months. We’ll provide a clear schedule during consultation.

You’ll receive continuous updates, data analysis, and on-site expert guidance throughout the process, plus a comprehensive final report with actionable insights and recommendations.

Yes. Our team provides hands-on training on operation and maintenance to ensure your team is fully prepared.

We maintain a consistent core team for your pilot with a dedicated point of contact to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer.

We maintain ready-to-deploy units with turnaround times as fast as 24 hours in some cases. We’ll provide specific timelines based on your needs and location.

Yes. If your process requires additional equipment—such as bulk bags, racking systems, or material handling solutions—we can provide it to match your actual operating environment.

We troubleshoot and adjust until we find the right solution—whether that means optimizing operations, exploring chemical treatments, or modifying equipment configurations. We don’t consider the job complete until we find the right solution for you.

Choose from three levels based on your needs and budget:

  • Benchtop/Lab Testing for material analysis.
  • Small-Scale Pilots at our facility for proof-of-concept.
  • Large-Scale Pilots at your site for full-production simulation.

Pricing varies based on scope, duration, and complexity. We provide transparent quotes with detailed breakdowns of all costs involved.

We deliver a comprehensive report and discuss next steps for implementation. Our team can support your transition to full deployment with installation, training, and ongoing maintenance.
